Probably the song in this round with the fewest number of instruments, and it still sounds full. Nice!
Lovely voices

Thank you Spadez! I think it was a bit of a risk this round, as tracks with few instruments tend to not to do so well in the NGADM. I knew that perhaps it could leave judges feeling a little left wanting. With this track, I felt that if I was going to muddy the piano arrangement with anything, I'd have to take it to full orchestra.
That being said, I wasn't really worrying about what I can add to try and impress anybody, or thinking about what could get me extra points. I just wanted to create something beautiful and I put just as much effort into this as I did with my tracks that have more going on. :)
It's so happy. But this is definitely the Johnfn feel and it's actually the opposite of sad. lol
Good luck
thanks spadezer!! hey but uh who said this song was sad =P
This is fantastic!
I don't agree with Johnfn actually. The beginning is completely necessary especially considering the lyrics. I love your voice.
I do think I see what other people are saying with it missing something. I think it's not big enough when it comes to the chorus. Like there needs to be more desperation and near shouting levels and pitches. But that's just my opinion.
Great work and good luck
That I'm getting comments agreeing on certain aspects is super useful; definitely lets me know I missed something. If I make it through, next round's track won't make the same mistakes...
Thanks!

これは良いこと!
You should be proud that you've made it this far. You're in the top 32 of 250 or so people who auditioned.
Anyway, this is good work. The composition and the overall mixing is pretty good. A couple things I'm noticing. The percussion I feel like don't have enough punch particularly in the snare and kick. It sounds like you recorded it live which is awesome if you did. If not I'd actually be really impressed with how realistic it sounds. But to mix it better the low frequencies need to come through with those instruments.
That's all I'll say for now. This is pretty sweet. Again, be proud.
And good luck
Beautiful. This is quite emotional.
Thanks! I've felt like my last two entries (this one included) were a bit subpar for where I'd like them to be; mostly because of personal time constraints. Nevertheless, I'm glad you enjoyed listening!
You're a force not to be taken lightly. I'll just say that the arrangement seems to progress a bit slowly on first listen, but the atmosphere is so careful and though out. I love it.
Good luck
It even used to be longer! But Grant pushed me to trim big parts off.
Thanks for liking it! I wish you goodluck as well my friend :)
Love it!
The mastering is beautiful and the flow of the music is well thought out. So nice.
Good luck
I can't give much criticism since I know you're going up against me so I'd be a bit biased.
But there are some really cool ideas going on. I really like your work with the percussion. I think that's the best part and I love it. The main synth for the melody is pretty rad. It has the right tone for the NES era and it's cool.
Good work and best of luck.
Pretty groovy. I love it. It sounds pretty legit like it's not meant for this sight.
Good luck mate
Thanks man! Good luck to you too!
Do you like dubs? Do you like Wubs? I've got them in SPADES! Sprinkled in is some actual melodic content so you don't think I'm a hype junkie
